Access to Profixio

In these tournaments we use a tournament administration system called Profixio. All relevant information relating to the tournament can be retrieved from that system:

Information about groups and pairings for the first matches is expected to be presented minimum two weeks prior to each tournament.

Minimum one member of your staff must have access to this system in order to register relevant data. If you do not already have such access, we will prepare this. We need the following information for each member of staff who wants to have access:

  • Name
  • email
  • international telephone number

Persons with such access can give access to other representatives of his team.

Formal exchange of information between Football Associations

When clubs are participating in tournaments abroad, there is a formality with exchange of information between the FAs involved.  The people working for your FA are familiar with this, considering that this is UEFA-legislation.

Your national FA prepares a very short letter where they confirm that they have no objections to your participation in our tournament. They send this letter to Norwegian FA (Contact person is Mr. Kristian Solvang Johannessen).

Live streaming, videos and pictures

We are sure you have also witnessed a technical development that enables livestreaming of sports events without humans operating the cameras. This development potentially allows all sports activities for youth and children to be filmed and streamed live.

In Norway this has generated a broad discussion about legislation and rights to participate in sports without being filmed. Pending further rules and legislation, all streaming of sports involving youth below the age of 15 years is not allowed. Therefor none of the matches in Flint Fotballfestival 2025 will be streamed.

Regardless, we will have own personnel taking pictures and make videos for internal purposes and for promotion of the tournaments. If there are participants of you squad or staff, who object to this, we need to be informed. In such case we will not make any recordings of your teams where individuals can be identified.

You may also bring your own VEO-camara for technical analysis. You may also use this equipment to live-stream to a closed group at home. Please remember to ask your opponent for permission to do so.

Dining and special needs in terms of food

On Day 1 and 2 of the tournament you will be served lunch and dinner with all other participating teams. The dining hall is located in short walking distance from the venue. There will be three options for each meal:

  • A main alternative including meat
  • A vegetarian alternative
  • An allergy friendly alternative

Please carefully observe:

All players will have the main alternative unless you in the player registration in Profixio have registered that they shall have the vegetarian or the allergy friendly alternative. Requests for alternative food must be registered in Profixio no later than three weeks prior to the event.

Participants who have ordered “vegetarian” or “allergy friendly” in Profixio will find their food marked with their name at a separate table in the dining hall.

None of the served dishes contain pork. Apart from that, we have no possibility to adapt for particular religious or life-view-based wishes, like halal or kosher. Participants who cannot eat meat, unless it has been ritually slaughtered and prepared, should opt for the vegetarian alternative.

Non of the food we serve contains nuts.

All players are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to the dining hall in order to reduce the waste resulting from single-use drinking cups.

Players must change footwear before entering the dining hall.

Registration of players

All players need to be registered in Profixio. Players with specific requirements in terms of diet, must be registered no later than three weeks prior to the event, see information above. Any other information is due three days prior to the event.

Tournament setup and overall schedules

A detailed description of tournament setup in English will be presented in due time. A final version of the setup will be presented after closing of the registration. The setup will be based on the same main principles as in 2024. For now, consult these for reference. See separate link.

9v9

NFF has prepared a very short paper summarizing the technical information for 9v9, which in our case is relevant for U13. See separate link.

Tournament rules

We have prepared a translation of the tournament rules for U13 and U14. See separate link.

Signing of referee’s match card

In order to ensure that correct results are reported back into the tournament administration system, team leaders will immediately after the game go to the referee and confirm the results by signing the match card.

This formality will prevent wrong entries and avoid unfortunate knock-on effects.

Playing fields

The final number of playing fields and their location will be decided after completion of the registraation.

Please note that the U14-event also uses four fields at other arenas. There are shuttle busses between the arenas.

In both events some of the fields will have artificial 4G turf and some will have natural grass.

Transit from airport

After you have picked up your luggage and passed the customs, you will find an information board where your team is displayed. The board will inform where to go to meet the dedicated coach that will bring you to Tønsberg.

Home team responsible for match balls

In each of the matches to be played in the tournament, the home team is responsible for match balls.

Referees

The Norwegian Football Association (NFF) has launched an initiative to promote and encourage female referees. NFF has asked our event to be part of this programme and we have accepted this challenge. The consequence is that all matches on two fields will be led by a full team of younger female referees: referee, assistant and instructor.

This will apply for both U13 and U14.

All matches on all other fields will be led by referees with different levels of experience. Finals will be led by a full set of referees.

Room lists for hotel

If your team is accommodated in a hotel, then please send us a room list no later than 10 days prior to the tournament.

Alcohol and sport activities

Norway has custom and legislation regarding alcohol which may different significantly from what you are used to from your own country and also from other countries in our vicinity, like Denmark.

Basically, consumption of alcohol is prohibited in public places other than bars, restaurants etc.

Most importantly, the consumption of alcohol in a sports event involving children is both prohibited and will attract negative attention. In order to avoid unintended unfortunate situations, we kindly ask you to inform the parents and others travelling with the teams.
