Tournament rules
These are the detailed tournament rules for Flint Fotballfestival 2025 and apply for Flint Meny U13 Cup and Flint Micasa U14 Cup.
Players and classes
Each team must register players in the tournament administration system Profixio no later than three days before the tournament. Maximum number of players per teams are 22. A player can only be registered on one team.
The following age classes apply:
- U13: Born 2012 or later
- U14: Born 2011 or later
If the club has special reasons for seeking a deviation from the rules above, an application with reasons must be submitted to the tournament minimum two week before the start of the tournament.
Please note: Minor adjustments to the rules may happen after the registration is closed and the number of teams in each class is finally fixed.
Yellow and red cards
If a player receives a red card, the player must leave the match and the team cannot replace the sent off player. The player can also not play the next game.
In the case of gross misconduct (e.g. punching, spitting or other inappropriate behaviour towards opponents or referees), the referee in consultation with the referee responsible, can impose a suspension for several consecutive matches.
Yellow cards are served immediately if the player leaves the pitch for 5 minutes. In the seeding matches (Day 1), the player leaves the pitch for 2 minutes.
Seeding matches (Day 1)
The seeding matches on the first day of the tournament are played in the form of an 'incomplete round robin'. This means that all teams in the group are not playing against all the other teams.
Each match has a duration of 20 minutes. The referee may choose to add time as a result of longer pauses in the game.
The ranking of teams in this part of the tournament is in the following order:
- Points (3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw)
- Quality (the number obtained by adding up the number of points scored by all the team's opponents)
- Goal difference
- Number of goals scored
- Internal settlement between the teams that cannot otherwise be separated
- If two or more teams are still tied, the order is decided by coin toss or lot.
Intermediate matches (Day 2)
The result of the seeding matches determines which divisions the individual teams end up in. Each division must be divided into divisions of 4 teams.
The intermediate games in each division section are played as a full series ("round robin").
Each match has a duration of two halves of 20 minutes with a 2-minute break. The referee may choose to add time as a result of longer pauses in the game.

Playoff matches (Day 3)
The ranking of teams in the intermediate stage determines which teams will face each other in the play-off.
In divisions with four pools, the four pool winners meet in the semi-finals. Other teams play placement matches.
In divisions with two pools, pool winners and pool runners-up meet for semi-finals. Other teams play placement matches.
In the first division for Boys, there will be a quarter final at the end of Day 2.
Each match has a duration of two halves of 20 minutes with a 2-minute break. The referee may choose to add time as a result of longer pauses in the game.
Tied matches are decided by penalty shootout. Penalty shootout competitions are conducted in a separate area.
Penalty shootout competitions
- In class U14, both teams first take five penalties each. In the event of a tie, one penalty is then shot until there is a decision.
- In class U13, both teams first take three penalties each. In the event of a tie, one penalty is then shot until there is a decision.
Tournament Jury
Each tournament has a jury that deals with complaints. The jury is made up of three people from the clubs participating in the tournament.
Teams wishing to appeal decisions relating to a single match must mark this on the match's referee card.
Complaints must be reported to the jury in the tournament's secretariat in the clubhouse without undue delay. NOK 1,000 must be submitted together with the complaint. The amount will only be refunded to the team if the team is approved by the jury.
The jury's decision is final and cannot be appealed.
